END OF YEAR LETTER
Dear Youth for Christ Partner,
While this is the season for being thankful, we at Wabash Valley Youth for Christ have been especially blessed and thankful to God for your partnership at various times during our ministry in the Middle Schools and High Schools in Clay and Vigo Counties. It is because of your wonderful generosity, your love for the spiritual needs of these kids and your love of God that we are able to spend time building meaningful relationships with them and draw them into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Our mission is simple: We reach young people right where they are and share the love of Christ through biblical mentorship!
We work with like-minded people and area churches to raise up youth to be lifelong followers of Christ who will themselves also grow to reach their friends and families for the Kingdom of God. In order to do this, we go onto school campuses and conduct bible studies, spend time with kids to earn their trust and become free to share the Gospel with them with integrity.
Our Need
We need a full-time club director for Vigo County.
Presently we only have me to do the work in Vigo County. That involves 5 Middle Schools and 3 High Schools with a total enrollment of approximately 6,300 students. This is way too much for one person and in the past we would draw off of area youth pastors/workers to take on such a load. HOWEVER, COVID and changes in church positions have pretty much emptied our volunteers (who were already thin in numbers).
This position would cost us approximately $40,000 annually.
